Top Sandbox Games on Android in Australia: Q4 2024 Performance

The fourth quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top sandbox-like games on the Android platform in Australia. According to Sensor Tower, these applications have shown varied patterns in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Roblox maintained a strong presence with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $227K in late December. Downloads rose steadily from 8K in early October to about 14K by mid-December. Active users increased significantly, starting at 425K in late September and reaching over 501K by the end of December.

Minecraft Trial experienced a relatively stable download trend, with numbers ranging from 2K to 3K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a decline from 9.5K in late September to around 1.2K by the end of December.

Melon Sandbox saw its weekly revenue fluctuate around the $500 mark, peaking at $659 in late December. Downloads varied, starting at 2.9K and spiking to 3.3K just before Christmas. Active users increased gradually from 40K to a peak of 46K in late December.

One State RP - Role Play Life showed a declining trend in both downloads and active users, with downloads falling from 2.1K to about 1.9K by the end of December. Revenue also saw a decrease, peaking at $4.3K in early October and then falling to around $2.2K by the end of the quarter.

Meta Horizon had a notable spike in downloads in mid-December, reaching over 6K. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 12K to 14K throughout the quarter.
